Below are descriptions of what you can expect in each of our classes. Although these descriptions give you a good idea of what a class will be like, since we’re a small program, we’re always able to tailor our classes to the needs of the students in class that day. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us! We emphasize making our classes gentle, safe, and accessible for people of all ability levels.

Open Level Yoga with Sandra (Tuesdays, 12-1 pm)

This class is open to all abilities, and includes standing and seated poses. Poses and movements will include both gentler and more challenging options, and each class will incorporate deep breathing and mindfulness/meditation.

Mat Yoga with Sandra (Thursdays, 8-9 pm)

This class is designed for people who are able to get onto the floor and do poses on a yoga mat, as well as standing poses. Poses and movements will include both gentler and more challenging options, and each class will incorporate deep breathing and mindfulness/meditation.

Gentle/Chair Yoga with Sandra (Fridays, 11am-12pm)

This class is designed for people who would like a gentler yoga class, who have trouble getting down onto the floor, or who benefit from using a chair as support for standing and seated poses. Depending on the needs of the students present, this class will either be conducted entirely seated in a chair, seated in a chair/standing, and/or using a mat on the floor. Poses and movements will be gentle and slow-paced, and each class will incorporate deep breathing and mindfulness/meditation.

Private Fitness/Personal Training Sessions with Alex

Alex’s fitness sessions are intended to loosen muscles, increase blood flow and energy levels, and build strength. Sessions incorporate bodyweight and postural exercises (for example, core strengthening exercises and extending the arms overhead) as well as optional use of light weights and resistance bands. His sessions are not only safe and gentle, but also effective for targeting mobility and posture, and building strength to support the spine and the whole body.
